Zion Global Worship Centre was established by the Lord Jesus Christ to bring revival and transformation to India and the rest of the nations. In 2001, Pastor Chandy met a woman ostracized due to AIDS, abandoned by her loved ones with nowhere to go. He prayed for her healing and began a fellowship exclusively for her every Sunday evening, as she had no other place to worship due to being ostracized by society. Later, she accepted Christ, was water baptized, experienced complete healing from AIDS and became a testament to God’s power and love. This small fellowship, initiated solely for her, eventually grew and became the foundation of what is now Zion Global Worship Centre.
The journey continued in November 2002 when Pastor Chandy Varghese, during a time of prayer, heard the Lord’s voice about a great revival in India and the need for the church to intercede for it. Acting in faith, he organized 21-day fasting prayers with pastors in Delhi over the next two years, setting the stage for what God was about to birth.
In April 2004, after this season of prayer, Zion Global Worship Centre formally began its journey, holding services in the basement of a hotel in Karol Bagh. By October of that year, the church relocated to Patel Nagar after Holy Spirit’s counsel, where it began to grow rapidly. A significant milestone occurred in 2013 when Zion expanded beyond Delhi, establishing its first branch church in Panipat, Haryana. Later, Zion grew into a network of 32 branch churches across India.
From 2012 to 2014, Pastor Chandy also ministered through Shubhsandesh Television Station, reaching a wider audience. In 2014, the church experienced extraordinary growth. Overflowing crowds led to multiple Sunday services that ran until 5 PM, marking a new season of revival with signs, wonders, and healings evident as the Holy Spirit moved mightily.
Leadership and discipleship have always been central to Zion’s vision. Through focused discipleship meetings annually, many leaders have risen, equipped to carry the gospel and build the body of Christ. These leaders have taken the revival fire across Delhi and India, preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Our church is deeply committed to preparing the next generation for the Lord, with a special focus on the youth. We make sure to raise them as future leaders, training them in the ways of the Lord and equipping them to fulfil their destiny purposed by our God. Also, over the years, we have nurtured many anointed worship leaders.
We also place great importance on inner healing and counselling to restore lives and families, helping them experience true freedom and wholeness in Christ.
Through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we are also dedicated to raising prophetic and apostolic leaders who can carry forward the mission of the Kingdom. Additionally, we emphasize deeply studying and teaching the Word of God, ensuring that every believer is firmly rooted in truth and equipped for a life of faith and service.

Rooted in prayer and led by the Holy Spirit, Zion is committed to raising worshippers who glorify God in spirit and truth, serving as a beacon of hope and transformation.
